- Coordinating disaster response and fire prevention services across the federation
- Overseeing the administration of correctional facilities and implementing prison reforms to promote rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates
- Strengthening border security and migration management to address transnational crime and irregular migration
- Promoting civil registration systems, including birth, marriage, and death certificates
